Lovely, happy Alan Bean is the only moon walker I’ve spoken to, twice in fact. The only people to have walked the surface of another planet are military men or scientists. Alan, due to dramatic career change, gives a much-valued artists account of space. He was a talented painter and tells us something about his journey that words could not.
