Glacier: In time the rocks formed from these sediment were uplifted and eroded and a great fault one split the Cliviger Gorge, leaving it weak. This weakness allowed, during the last ice age, the penetration of a glacier from Lancashire which carved out the steep sided valley we see today. Recorded at Bridestones SD 9306 2675
