My favorite song is Some Nights, but I really love all the songs. They are dreamy and sweet, but also importantly they cover a really important topic:depression and feeling stuck. I think it's really cool that she wrote the songs herself and uses a synthesizer as her instrument. I know that Deerful doesn't think that people have the means to play cassettes, but I do ^^ I love the sound of a tape, and I have an old cassette player :)

Finding Emma Winston aka "Deerful" was a lucky coincidence, caused by me following WIAIWYA - an interesting indie label with an unpronounceable name, which is actually an acronym for "Where it's at is where you are". Their latest compilation starts off with two "Deerful" tracks, which drew my immediate attention to Emma Winston's enchanting compositions.
